THE PULSE OF TRADITION. By Benitah Maria Namuddu


At the Lugogo Cricket Oval, the air was alive with rhythm, color, and movement during the Kadodi Carnivala celebration rooted in culture and community.

                              How it started 

The beat started softly, then built into something impossible to ignore. Feet struck the ground in sync, bodies moved with purpose, and the crowd leaned in, drawn by the energy. This wasn’t just dance it was identity unfolding in real time.


            A great time was had ( kadodi dance)

Kadodi, with its deep cultural roots, carried more than sound. It carried stories of heritage, of people, of traditions that continue to thrive despite time. In that moment, culture wasn’t something to be explained. It was something you felt in your chest, in the rhythm, in the unity of everyone present. 

In a fast-moving world, moments like this remind us of where we come from and why it still matters.
